Laboratory
Laboratory services are available to all eligible TRICARE beneficiaries with an order from a health care provider. Basic chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, and serology testing is performed in-house. Tests not performed in-house will be collected and shipped to a reference laboratory for processing. Please note that, due to specimen stability, some tests cannot be collected on Fridays or the day prior to extended downtime. Most tests can be performed on a walk-in basis, however, some require adherence to special diets or collection techniques and may require a visit prior to submission. Please follow your provider’s instructions for fasting. 1-hour, 2-hour, and 3-hour Glucose Tolerance Tests are performed in-house. Patients are expected to stay in the waiting area for the duration of these tests. 1-hour Glucose Tolerance Tests are performed prior to 3 p.m. on a walk-in basis, however 2-hour and 3-hour Glucose Tolerance Tests testing is by appointment only. Biennial HIV testing is performed on a walk-in basis, however members must contact Public Health to ensure the test is ordered prior to reporting to the laboratory. Please contact the laboratory with any questions.
